天冷了，咱们的小伙伴们，围坐在一起吃个火锅，那可是很爽啊！今天咱们就一起来学习一下关于“火锅”的一些英文说法吧！

其实“hotpot”在老外们看来呢，是一道“土豆炖肉”的一道菜。

据说老外们都喜欢吃土豆炖肉。
hot pot -- 这才是“火锅”的意思
（不过这个“hot pot”和那个“hotpot”，在说话的时候，会像双胞胎一样，让我们傻傻分不清楚）
所以呢，我们通常在想要用hotpot表达“火锅”的时候呢，通常可以把它说成：
Chinese hotpot / Chinese hot pot
这两种形式都可以用来表达，我们所想要表达的是“火锅”的意思。

火锅是不少小伙伴的心头爱，尤其到了夏天，火锅配上冰镇西瓜汁，那叫一个爽快！
不过，你知道火锅的英文表达吗？到底是hotpot还是hot pot？
别看hotpot和hot pot之间只是一个空格的区别，实际上，二者意思可差得远了。
其中，hot pot才是正正宗宗表示“火锅”的意思。
例：This weather is very good for stay in bed and eat hot pot.
这绝对是一个吃火锅和睡懒觉的好天气！
而hotpot所表达的东西也是一个锅里装的，不过这个锅里装的可能是一些土豆、洋葱以及炖肉。
因为hotpot的中文意思就是“热锅炖菜”、“罐焖菜肴”，比如lamb hotpot（罐焖羊肉）。
如果大家怕区分不清hotpot和hot pot的话，也可以用chaffy dish来表达“火锅”的意思。
